Terminal building of Agadir Al Massira Airport with palm trees

Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA) is about 25 km from the city's beach hotels and around 40 km from Taghazout Bay. This guide shows how to get from the airport to your hotel in each area, how long it takes and what you should pay.

Most visitors to Agadir stay in one of a few areas: the beachfront hotel zone in the city, Taghazout Bay with its resorts, or the surf villages of Tamraght and Taghazout. The right transfer depends on where you sleep.

The Main Hotel Areas

Agadir city and the beach hotel zone

Most large hotels are lined up along Agadir's long beach, between the Marina in the north and Founty in the south. The drive from the airport takes about 30 minutes on a fast road. Your driver drops you at the hotel entrance.

Taghazout Bay

A newer resort area just south of Taghazout village, with international hotels, a golf course and a beach promenade. Allow about 45 minutes from the airport, a little more at rush hour when the road through Agadir is busy.

Tamraght, Aourir and Taghazout village

Surf camps, guesthouses and apartments, many on narrow streets above the beach. Send us the exact name or a map pin of your accommodation so the driver can drop you as close as possible. Read our Agadir Airport to Taghazout guide for more on the surf villages.

Other Ways to Leave the Airport

Airport taxis

Grand taxis wait outside arrivals. There is no meter, so agree the price before you get in. Prices quoted to tourists vary a lot, especially at night, and bargaining after a flight is not much fun.

Airport bus

An airport bus connects Agadir Airport with the city for about 50 MAD per person, and local buses run along the coast towards Tamraght and Taghazout. They are cheap but slow, with limited room for luggage and surfboards. Check the timetable before you fly.

Private transfer

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign, tracks your flight and waits up to 60 minutes after landing at no extra cost. The price is fixed when you book and you pay on arrival.
