About This Route
The drive from Agadir to Essaouira covers 175 km along the Atlantic coast, past the surf villages of Taghazout and Tamri, then through the argan hills to the old port town of Essaouira.
Your driver picks you up at your hotel and drops you at your riad in Essaouira. Argan cooperative stop available.

Most guests book this transfer to spend a few days in Essaouira after a beach or surf holiday in Agadir, or as the first leg of a trip that continues to Marrakech. Because the car is yours alone, you leave when you like, stop for photos above the ocean, and arrive directly at your riad or hotel with your luggage.
Route Guide
The private taxi from Agadir to Essaouira follows the N1, one of Morocco's most beautiful coast roads: about 175 km of surf beaches, cliffs and argan hills. The road is good but mostly single-lane and winding in places, so it takes around 3 hours without long stops.

Times are for a direct drive in normal traffic. With a coffee break and the argan stop, plan on about 3½ hours door to door.
Prices are per vehicle, not per person, and fixed when you book. Fuel, luggage and surfboards are included, with no extra charge for early mornings or late arrivals.

The same price applies from Taghazout or Tamraght; from Agadir Airport (AGA) the sedan price is €75. You pay the driver in cash, in euros or dirhams, when you arrive in Essaouira.
Short photo and coffee stops are included. For a longer day with several stops, tell us your plan and we quote it in advance.
Cars cannot drive into Essaouira's medina. If you are staying in a riad inside the walls, your driver stops at the nearest gate car park, usually Bab Sbaa or Bab Marrakech, and can call your riad so someone meets you. Porters with hand carts wait at the gates and will wheel your bags to the door for a small tip. Hotels along the beach get a door drop-off.
