Your driver loads your bags at the medina gate or your hotel door and drives straight to your address, at a fixed price agreed before departure.

The private taxi from Essaouira to Agadir follows the N1 coast road south: about 175 km through argan hills, past cliffs and surf villages, before reaching Agadir's long sandy bay. The road is good but mostly single-lane and winding in places, so allow around 3 hours without long stops.

Times are for a direct drive in normal traffic. With a coffee break and the argan stop, plan on about 3½ hours door to door.

You pay the driver in cash, in euros or dirhams, at the end of the trip.
Essaouira's medina is car-free. If you are staying inside the walls, your driver waits at the nearest gate car park, usually Bab Sbaa or Bab Marrakech, and we agree the exact meeting point on WhatsApp the day before. Many riads send someone to help carry your bags to the gate.
