Private Excursion · Morocco
Sea air, blue boats and a relaxed UNESCO medina on the Atlantic — a private day trip from Marrakech.
About This Excursion
Essaouira could not feel more different from Marrakech: a windswept Atlantic port with white and blue houses, a UNESCO-listed medina and a relaxed pace that draws artists, surfers and travellers looking for sea air.
On the way, you stop at a women-run argan oil cooperative. In Essaouira, your driver gives you an orientation of the medina, then you have free time to walk the Skala ramparts and their old cannons, watch the blue fishing boats at the port, browse the woodworking souks and wander the old Mellah.
With around 2.5 to 3 hours of driving each way, you get about 6 hours in town. Want more time by the sea? Read is an Essaouira day trip worth it? or see how to get from Marrakech to Essaouira one way.
