Essaouira Airport Transfer

Essaouira Mogador Airport (ESU) is a small airport about 15 km south-east of Essaouira, roughly 20 minutes by car. Only a few flights land each day and few taxis wait outside, so a pre-booked transfer is the easy way into town.

Your driver waits in arrivals with a sign showing your name, helps with your bags and drives you to your hotel door or the medina gate closest to your riad.

The airport is close to town, so the whole transfer usually takes well under an hour from touchdown.

Staying in the medina

Cars cannot enter Essaouira's medina. Your driver stops at the nearest gate car park, usually Bab Sbaa or Bab Marrakech, and calls your riad so someone meets you. Porters with hand carts can wheel your bags to the door for a small tip.

Outside town: Diabat, Ghazoua, Sidi Kaouki
