About This Excursion

Sidi Kaouki

This day trip packs more stops than any of our other Essaouira excursions, combining local history, nature and the wild Atlantic coast south of the town.

It begins at Diabat, the village linked to the legend of Jimi Hendrix's visit in the late 1960s, then passes the Mogador golf course and a local souk. The route continues through the argan forest — look out for goats in the trees — to a women-run argan oil cooperative, the wild beach of Iftane and the village of Sidi Kaouki, known for its white marabout and its surf. A stop at the Cap Sim viewpoint completes the day, with lunch included along the way.

It is a well-rounded introduction to the coast around Essaouira, ideal if you only have time for one excursion.
