Private Excursion · Morocco
Pottery workshops in Safi and fresh oysters by the Oualidia lagoon — a private day trip north of Essaouira.
About This Excursion
This full-day trip heads north along the Atlantic coast to two very different towns. Safi, about 2 hours from Essaouira, is Morocco's pottery capital, where generations of craftsmen shape and paint the country's colourful ceramics. Oualidia, an hour further north, is known for its calm lagoon and some of the freshest oysters in Morocco.
After visiting the potters' workshops in Safi, you continue to Oualidia for a seafood lunch overlooking the lagoon (extra cost), then return to Essaouira with a stop at a women-run argan oil cooperative on the way.
It is a great choice if you want to combine craft culture, coastal scenery and a proper seafood lunch in one day.
